2. Ketogenic diet

 

Dr. Seyfried recommends the ketogenic diet, which is very low in carbohydrates and high in fat. With this diet, instead of using glucose as its primary energy source, the body burns fat and ketones. Since cancer cells rely primarily on glucose to divide, limiting their glucose intake deprives them of hunger and improves their health.

 

The foods you would eat on this diet are nuts, olive oil, avocado, low-carb vegetables, and lean protein (e.g., fish).

3. Prevent inflammation
