A thick layer of scale gradually forms on the grate of a gas stove, impossible to remove with conventional methods. To keep my kitchen tidy, I’ve been using a product for several years that allows me to quickly remove soot and grease.

I have a cast iron grate, but this method also works with other metals.

Dishwasher tablet: universal detergent.

For dishwashers: universal detergent.

Take a saucepan that fits the rack, fill it with water, and place it on the stove. Add two detergent tablets to the water. The water should boil; then place a rack in the saucepan and let it boil for about half an hour.
