1. Preparation:
Before diving into the cleaning process, gather the necessary supplies: baking soda, water, vinegar, a spray bottle, damp cloths, and, optionally, gloves.
Make sure the oven is cool and remove the racks and other removable parts for separate cleaning. 2. Making the baking soda paste:
In a bowl, mix the baking soda and water until you get a thick, spreadable consistency. Adjust the ratio as needed until you achieve the desired consistency.
3. Applying the baking soda paste:
Using a spatula or gloved hands, generously coat the inside of the oven with the baking soda paste. Pay particular attention to areas with heavy grease buildup, making sure to cover them completely.
Let the paste sit overnight, giving it time to penetrate and break down stubborn grime.
4. Paste Removal:
The next day, use damp cloths to wipe the baking soda paste from the inside of the oven. Observe the transformative power of the paste as it effortlessly removes grease and grime, revealing a cleaner surface underneath.
5. Using vinegar:
Fill a spray bottle with vinegar and spray it generously on any dirty stains or stubborn residue inside the oven.
Watch the chemical reaction between the vinegar and baking soda as it creates a foamy display, effectively removing stubborn grime and neutralizing odors.
6. Rinse and dry:
Using a clean, damp cloth, wipe down the entire interior of the oven, making sure to remove any remaining vinegar and baking soda.
Once clean, let the oven air dry completely or use a dry cloth to speed up the process.
