Preparation:

Step 1: Preparing the Lemons

Before starting to prepare our limoncello, make sure the lemons are well washed and free of any residue or dirt.

Using a sharp knife, remove the ends of the lemons and then cut them into thin slices. Remember that we are only using the zest of the lemon, so avoid the white part, as it can give a bitter flavor to the liqueur.

Step 2: Maceration

Once we have prepared the lemon slices, we place them in a glass container with the liter of table alcohol.

We cover the container and leave it in a cool, dark place for at least a week. This maceration step is crucial for the liqueur to retain its characteristic lemon aroma and flavor.
