Here’s how:
1️⃣ Prepare the meat
Take the steaks out of the refrigerator 20–30 minutes before frying so that they come to room temperature. This will help them cook more evenly.
2️⃣ Spice
Dry the steaks and season thoroughly with salt and black pepper on both sides.
3️⃣ Fry the steaks
Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Cook the steaks for 3-4 minutes per side for medium rare (adjust time to taste).
Remove the steaks and let them rest while you make the sauce.
Creamy garlic sauce
Sauté the garlic:
In the same pan, melt the butter and add the garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant and lightly colored.
Add broth:
Pour in the broth and scrape up any flavorful residue at the bottom.
Pour in the cream:
Stir in the whipped cream and simmer for 3–5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Taste:
Add Dijon mustard and Parmesan (if desired). Season with salt and pepper.
