An ally against stubborn odors

47445Between well-aged cheese, pre-cut onions, and leftover casseroles, our refrigerator can sometimes resemble a  mixture of not-so-pleasant odors  . Of course, we already know the baking soda or coffee grounds trick. But here’s a new addition to the team: the toilet paper roll.

Why does it work? Simply because paper has a natural ability to absorb moisture and odors. Placed in a refrigerator compartment, it acts as a  discreet but effective odor absorber . The trick is to change it every week to keep its absorbent power intact. And of course, keep it in a  freezer bag or a clean airtight container  to avoid direct contact with food.
